Niras Bankoc Cultural Hostel
Niras Bankoc aim at the concept of a Cultural hostel, was to design the property from our own creation &
experiences with a mission to make this hostel a perfect place for travellers who love culture, allowing them to touch and feel the 100 year buildings historical past while being a social hub with a modern twist.
Originally, this building was built in the Reign of King Rama the IV back in 1869 and belonged to “The Royal Family – Prince KrommaluangSappasitPrasong.” It is situated in the heart of the oldest culture and commercial area in Rattanakosin Island (Old City). At the beginning, this building became a Grocery store in 1905 and later became a Painting & Hardware shop in 1938. Next, the property is considered as heritage & conservation and was later renovated as a hostel that opened in Nov2008.
